No, Firstbase Mailroom™ is not replacing the registered agent!
Firstbase Mailroom™ is an integrated software solution that allows startup and company founders to easily manage their physical mail in the US.
The registered agent role, on the other hand, goes beyond that and consists of forming the company and notifying you of both legal and tax notices in the state. They are responsible for making sure you are in compliance with all obligations and for keeping your state license. They also assist with the filing of our selected state taxes and annual returns. To sum up, they are your point of contact in the state your company is formed.
It is mandatory to have a registered agent in any state that you incorporate in. That being said, Mailroom, which is simply a mail service tool, can't replace the registered agent role.
